Create Your Pay StubOklahoma keeps close to federal wage law — a $7.25 minimum wage, federal overtime, no adult break or sick leave rules — but requires an itemized statement of deductions with every paycheck and final pay by the next payday. With each payment of wages, Oklahoma employers must give the employee a brief itemized statement of any and all deductions. The Oklahoma Department of Labor describes this as a written or electronic pay stub with a clear breakdown of deductions such as taxes and insurance, and it accepts pay stub complaints through a dedicated Pay Stub Claim form.
- Each deduction taken from the employee's wages (taxes, insurance and any other amounts withheld)
How often must employees be paid?
Employers must pay all wages due at least twice each calendar month on regular, scheduled paydays. Exempt employees and state, county and municipal employees may be paid once a month. Payday may fall no more than 11 days after the end of the pay period, and employers have up to three days after a payday to complete payment.

Oklahoma minimum wage
Oklahoma's minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, matching the federal rate. The state law covers employers with ten or more full-time employees at one location or more than $100,000 in annual gross sales; others are covered by federal law where it applies.
- Tipped employees: the employer may count tips toward up to 50% of the minimum wage, provided total pay reaches $7.25.

Meal & rest break requirements
Oklahoma does not require meal breaks for adults. Where an employer gives a bona fide meal period with the employee relieved of duty, federal rules allow it to be unpaid.
Oklahoma does not require rest breaks. Short breaks of about 5 to 20 minutes that an employer allows are paid time under federal law.
